What is required to use Plerts?
The iPhone/iPod Touch app requires OS 3.x or higher. The iPhone 3G or 3GS is GPS-enabled and provides accurate location data, while the iPhone 2G and iPod Touch use a less accurate “assisted GPS” service. To utilize the Facebook or Web application, Plerts requires Mac OSX, Linux or Windows-based computer, Firefox 3, Safari 3, IE 7+ or Google Chrome browser.
How does Plerts respect my privacy?
Plerts was designed from the beginning to focus on your privacy first. Plerts is not a traditional GPS tracking service, a human is never monitoring your location. Unless you fail to check in, your location is private and secure. We give you complete control over the information exposed in your Life Link, and the ability to delete your entire location history from our database with one click.
What kind of security does Plerts use?
Plerts employs 128-bit SSL encryption when interacting with all aspects of our service. This includes but not limited to logging in, contact management, location data, medical information, billing, settings, and more.
How do I delete my location data?
To delete your location, please visit https://my.plerts.com/location/ and click the button that reads “Delete Location Data”.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iTunes: If you upgraded via the Plerts iPhone/iPod Touch application, Apple will not automatically bill you once your subscription expires. PayPal: If you paid via PayPal, you must cancel your subscription through your PayPal account. More instructions can be found on their site by click here.
Do you offer refunds for your service?
Plerts generally does not offer refunds because Apple does not provide controls to manage purchases and issues refunds. For more information, please contact us with your specific issue and we’ll try to work with you to the best of our ability.
